On return from the cremation ground, all the ministers of Vali surrounded Sugreeva and were standing still awaiting further instructions (from their next master.) But Sugreeva was still in grief over the loss of his dear brother. Seeing the condition and the mood of their chief in line for the throne, all of them, lead by Hanuman approached Rama. Hanuman told Rama "Oh, lord Rama, this magnificent kingdom of deferential vanaras, who are armed with their teeth, and whose might is a privileged one in the sense that our might is not dependent on any weapons or other tactical warfare other than our own bodily and teeth strength, is now belongs to Sugreeva.
"Please tell Sugreeva to enter the propitious city Kishkindha along with all his good-hearted friends, to get anointed.
"He would like to honour you in a remarkable way with garlands and precious gems. All of us desire your presence in Kishkindha for the anointment ceremony."
Rama replied "As per my father's directive I am not to enter either a village or a city. Therefore, please lead Sugreeva to Kishkindha, and get him enthroned to the kingdom, immediately and procedurally."
Rama then turned to Sugreeva and told him "You may also crown this brave Angada as crown prince.
"The monsoon season has commenced. It is expected that it will continue for the next four months. Hence, this is not a time for any striving. Therefore you stay at Kishkindha and concentrate on your royal duties. I will stay on this mountain along with Lakshmana. On the conclusion of the monsoon, let us start our efforts to find where Seetha is."
Sugreeva accepted the suggestion of Rama. When Sugreeva entered the palace his followers anointed him as gods would anoint the Thousand-eyed Indra. Then Sugreeva graciously embraced Angada and anointed him as the crown prince.
